Slovenian advertising festival is just around the coroner. I will not go to any lectures just because all of them have a 2.0 remark on them. And i know for a fact most of them don't even know what it means. It makes me sick really... it ls like saying iGod or iCopy... where are copywriters when you need them?

When I was working for Ogilvy, I have announced my job title as message creator. And management accepted it, my business cards were saying it as well and that was already the begining of copywriters to vanish. I tell you. The reason? I was so fed up with advertising and a constalation of agencies creative department that time. I was rebelling this way, you know. Speaking about it now - I still think it's a very good concept: Copywriter is the creator of a message. Agree?

Zadnjič sem na ogledu v nekem salonu pohištva in ugotovim, da imajo stol, ki mi je hudo všeč že od nekdaj, skoraj 500 % ceneje!! Seveda pogledam pobližje in ugotovim da je fake - ponaredek. Original stane nekaj 1000 eurov ta pa seveda malce več kot drobiž... In se vprašam. Kakšen gunšt je imet original, ker veš da je edini, da je samo tvoj in da si si ga lahko privoščil. Ker si zanj veliko plačal, ga boš čuval, boš nanj ponosen, ga boš kazal drugim, se z njim važil. Fino. Potem pa seveda nimaš denarja pa kupiš ponaredek in ugotoviš, da je prazen, brez duše, drugorazredna roba, izdajalski in prevarantski in da ti ne prinaša zadovoljstva. Če drugi še ne vedo, pa TI veš, da je ponaredek. In potem se zasanjam in sanjam da je škoda, ker ne obstaja nek sistem, ki bi ponaredke metal ven iz obtoka, njihove ustvarjalce tepel po prstih in tiste, ki jih sprejmejo in zanje plačajo dumpinške cene stresel iz hlač in tresel njihove stolčke ...

cultural activism was very exhausting this weekend. it's not about differences that makes ex-yugoslavian nations so picturesque. it's about historical roots of similarities that devides our region in stupid parts. we have the same passion of ex-state but of completely different points. but then again --- heart is what counts, beer is what unites. Tolerance!

Dear all, my following lines are not a joyful reading; I still bear the impressions of a multi ethnical meeting in Belgrade, Serbia. I promise something completely different for my next writings.
Prolonged weekend in Belgrade ... it's a THING. A huge one. At least for a conscious person.
Imagination beyond reason?
For anyone who walks the streets of Belgrade with open eyes – don't believe there are many gentlemen of Serbian political elite that participate in that kind of extreme sport activity – and comes from a far and distant land of other planet must appear as a surrealistic dream from which Belgrade is not yet to be woken from. At least it appears so. There must be something wrong with all those people trying to make through the day and still enjoy the misery of life without much if any perspective. When has apaty become the engine of movement? And since when the future equals past?
And all the Serbs have another thing in common – inability for moving, traveling, seeing what rest of the world has to offer. Maybe EU should consider loosening up the visas nonsense? The realistic question for teenaged Serbs in Belgrade is “Have you ever been to the train station?” It’s not a question of where to get the best fast food at 4am. There’s no point in asking them where they are going because they are not going anywhere! How can we aspect from a generation/nation to develop a free and socially conscious mind in complete isolation? Ability to travel is an ability to discover and that’s why societies change for the better.
I've been lucky enough to meet some of locals that are more than tired of sleeping and moon walking. There's something that could be done – I don’t know what, yet, but my friends, start talking about it! Start strengthening the most important muscle in your body, the brain.
We must ask ourselfs what price we pay for broadcasting our apathy?
Ideas are universal, right!? Could better life be among them? I sincerely believe all human beings want the same and understand what better future stands for – it’s a better chance for our kids what we all hope for. Hopefully.
But then again...
It’s a nice day in Ljubljana and many other cities. I wish you all have at least a sunny day.

I'm working on a project called Patch Project from the field of 'social engagement' (i can't find better translation and even engagement i'm not sure is pronounced as it should be). it consists of 6 partner organisations from Croatia, BiH, Serbia, Kosova, Macedonia and Slovenia.
